Like a favourite love story for every girl to revel in, Bernard Chandran finally unveiled his first ever bridal collection. Set in the dream-iest platform of ‘Weddings Redefined’ at St Regis Kuala Lumpur, Chandran took our breath away when he presented his collection encompassing three classic themes: vintage with a romantic twist, absolute luxury with a feel of fantasy and contemporary chic with the fearlessness of rock-and-roll.
A Treat for the Pinterest Generation
His narrative in bridal trend was a timely one as the wedding fashion industry is at its peak. This day and age, every bride strives to be a Pinterest favourite and we can’t think any further than what this collection had to offer. Bernard Chandran understands the many opinions surrounding the idea of a flawless gown and what it takes to cater to his huge market comprising of fearless fashionistas. He pushed the envelope for this collection, and just like that, magic happened.
Of Dances and Shimmers
Inspired by the poetry of fairytale, vintage and contemporary, Bernard Chandran completed this collection in just 40 days. Regardless of the short timeline, he never ceased to impress as each of the pieces had his signature clean lines and overall sophistication etched to it. Also, the gowns were constructed to extreme detailing ranging from textures to extravagant train lengths that gave magnificent movements and fluidity. The gowns were further lifted with pearl and crystal embellishments and silver beaded embroidery which added the wow-factor. With all the lights and actions of the show, the gowns were moving in a ballad of a love song.
Classics Never Disappoint
The rock-and-roll edge was showcased through the bold hues of red, blue and black. However, the collection was complimented with the classic ivory and pops of champagne to give his flocks of bride-to-be’s a lust list for their impending matrimony.
