Fancy a new pair of glasses?
In the world of optics, ZEISS is the go-to name. Since its start 171 years ago, the brand can be found in various industries related to optics, imaging and vision, from cameras to microscopes and eyewear. For those looking for eyewear kitted with ZEISS lenses, there is now one place to get your (prescription) fix, as Carl Zeiss Vision – Carl Zeiss AG’s ophthalmic lens division – has officially opened its Zeiss Vision Centre in Malaysia.
After Indonesia, Malaysia is the second market in Southeast Asia to introduce this hugely global concept. There are currently two such centres in the Klang Valley – Pavilion Elite Kuala Lumpur and DC Mall at Pusat Bandar Damansara. Both are owned and operated by Eyez Optometry (M) Sdn Bhd.
Don’t let the “Optometry” portion fool you into thinking it’s just a casual run to get your glasses – Zeiss Vision centre aims to involve you, the customer, to be part of an informed decision-making process and involving them from the start in the ultimate, step-by-step journey to bespoke lens solutions that improve their quality of life.
It offers an integrated solution that combines the most innovative instruments, latest technology and products that cater to every need – all from ZEISS – purposefully built to be a welcoming environment.
Before any measurements or tests are taken, trained optometrists would sit down with the customer to learn about his or her everyday habits and needs plus concerns and expectations. This is then followed by a multi-stage assessment, taking into account the customer’s visual needs, precise eye map, eye health, visual performance, frame selection and tailor-made lenses that are carefully adjusted to perfectly fit the face shape.
Think of the centre as visiting a tailor. Instead of a swanky suit, you get your eyewear suited to you needs.
Moving forward, Carl Zeiss Vision (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd isn’t stopping at just two outlets, as it targets to open a total of 10 Zeiss Vision Centres throughout Malaysia within the next five years.
In conjunction with the official opening, Carl Zeiss Vision Malaysia announced the sponsorship of eye examination and eyewear worth RM50,000 for under-privileged children from charitable homes in the Klang Valley.
For those looking for a bespoke solution for their eyewear, do drop by the Zeiss Vision Centre and choose from the plethora of brands and makes that suit you best.
