Bangsar South Shines

Kuala Lumpur’s latest hotspot has something for everyone.

Whether you’re in the industry or not, you definitely know that when it comes to property, it is all about location, location and location. So when the opportunity came about for UOA Holdings Berhad to acquire a rundown part of the town, located on the south of affluent and renowned Bangsar, it was only genius to capitalise on the latter’s fame and rename the location to Bangsar South.

Formerly known as Kampung Kerinchi (there still an LRT station bearing the name as testament), Bangsar South is currently an integrated development built up by various developers. Surrounded by notable landmarks such as the Mid Valley Megamall, TM Tower, Angkasapuri and University of Malaya, the project encompasses modern office towers, mid- to high-end condominiums as well as a wide range of retail and commercial spaces.

Now a gleaming ecosystem of skyscrapers and other high-rises, Bangsar South is barely recognisable to its past façade, mainly owing it to UOA for carrying out upgrading and landscaping works in order to refurbish the area, including widening the main access roads and constructing new pedestrian walkways.

Situated at the entrance of the Federal Highway, Bangsar South boasts easy access and exit, with the route to Mon’t Kiara and Sri Hartamas just few minutes down the road while downtown Kuala Lumpur is only 10 minutes away via the Federal Highway or Jalan Bangsar. There are also two LRT stations in the vicinity for public transportation users.

KL Gateway Mall

Centred in Bangsar South between Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya and Bangsar, KL Gateway Mall is a shopping destination designed to offer an attractive shopping atmosphere and experience for the shoppers. Directly connected to the Universiti LRT station via a pedestrian bridge, KL Gateway Mall hosts a plethora of gastronomic cuisine, fashion stores and children’s educare centre. Botanica + Co

A respite within the concrete jungle of Bangsar South, Botanica + Co is a place you can approach at any time, to wind down or to catch up. Inspired by the botanics, the café artfully captures the feeling of dining outdoor amidst lush greenery inside the restaurant as patrons feast amidst two stately Ficus trees and a greenhouse-themed interior.
