Spicy porky goodness of the world’s first Siew Yoke Biryani at Meat The Porkers.
When that craving for pork hits you, Indian food is not the first (nor ever) cuisine that comes to your mind. Out to change that is Herukh Jethwani, the owner of Meat The Porkers, located in Solaris Dutamas. Possibly the first pork-centric Indian restaurant in Asia, the eatery specialises in Siew Yoke Biryani, Tandoori Pork Ribs and Bacon & Cheese Naan.
A no-frills joint, Meat The Porkers focuses on the ingenious recipes on the menu, keeping the ambience simple with lots of pig-based decorative items.
Uppre paid Meat The Porkers a visit and spoke to Mr. Jethwani on the origin behind the idea, his inspirations for the menu and the reception for his food in the court of public opinion.
