Pavilion KL gets ‘Nihonified’ at Japan Expo Malaysia 2017

The first ever Japan Expo Malaysia 2017 was held in Pavilion KL last weekend to bridge the gap between Japan and Malaysia.

The award-winning shopping mall hosted the first Japan Expo Malaysia 2017 on the 28th July to 30th July 2017 in correspondence with Tokyo Street’s 6th Anniversary celebration. Organised by G-Yu Creative Company, the 3-day All-Japan event brought Japan’s popular culture such as anime, cosplay, music, art, fashion, food, travel and live entertainment to Malaysia under one roof. In addition, over 15 booths were set up in Fahrenheit 88 to promote Japanese food, Japanese language, origami, and more.

The grand opening was officiated by YB Puan Sri Cindy Lim, Executive Chairman of Pavilion KL, Ms. Yupharet Eakturapakal, President of G-YU Creative Company, and Mr. Hiroyuki Orikasa, Counselor from Embassy of Japan Kuala Lumpur. The event was also held to coincide with the 60th Anniversary of Japan and Malaysia Diplomatic Relations.
